What Sous stores. Your name, cooking preferences, allergies, saved recipes, calendar, pantry list, and cook history are stored locally in your browser ([localStorage]). [As of this version, none of this is sent to or stored on a server we control.] If a future version adds account sync, this section must be rewritten to describe what's collected, where it's stored, and for how long.
Voice features. Sous uses your device's built-in speech recognition and text-to-speech (the Web Speech API) for hands-free cooking mode. Voice recognition may be processed by your browser/device manufacturer's own cloud service (for example, Google's or Apple's), we do not receive or store your audio ourselves. Check your browser's own privacy policy for how it handles voice data.
Allergy & dietary data. Allergy and cuisine preferences you enter are used only to filter what's shown to you inside the app. See the Allergy Disclaimer below, this is a convenience filter, not a medical safety system.
Analytics & advertising. [Describe any analytics tools (e.g. none / Plausible / Google Analytics) and whether you show ads or use any third-party tracking. If you add any, this section and your cookie/consent banner must be updated.]
Third parties. [List any third-party services you integrate, payment processor, grocery affiliate links, hosting provider, and link to their own privacy policies.]
Children. Sous is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices. You can export a backup or erase all of your data at any time from Settings β Your data. Clearing your browser's site data will also remove everything Sous has stored about you.

This is a convenience filter, not a medical safety system. Allergy and dietary tags in Sous are based on information entered by you and by whoever created each recipe (including Sous's built-in library and anything you or others add under "Teach Sous a recipe"). They are not verified by any food-safety authority, dietitian, or medical professional.
Always check ingredients yourself. Ingredient lists, brands, and preparation methods change. Ingredients can also be mislabeled, substituted, or cross-contaminated during preparation in ways the app has no way of knowing about. Always read actual product labels and use your own judgment before eating anything, especially if you have a severe or life-threatening allergy.
Not medical advice. Nothing in Sous, including allergy filtering, cooking levels, or nutritional information if shown, is medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Consult a doctor, allergist, or registered dietitian for guidance specific to your health.
No liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Your Company Name] is not responsible for any allergic reaction, illness, or other harm resulting from reliance on information in this app.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, including a severe allergic reaction, contact emergency services immediately, do not rely on this app.
Chefs call this mise en place. It's why their food never burns while they're still chopping.
Nearly everything is fixable. Pick what's happening.
Timers keep running while you cook something else.
That's one more dish Sous will remember you like.
